I’ve studied and worked professionally as an artist for 10+ years. Since getting my own studio in early 2022, I’ve had the opportunity to host students for a weekly portraiture class to share the skills I’ve learned. I really enjoy teaching, and focus my instruction on isolating principles that will benefit each student specifically, then continuing to build on them each month.

Weekly classes (running in one-month sessions) will focus on the fundamentals of drawing and painting the portrait from a live model. From this curriculum, students can expect to learn to accurately interpret shape, value, and color in order to beautifully draw and/or paint a portrait. With no more than ten spots available, each student receives continual individual instruction and critique.

Students of all experience levels are welcome.
